story : Kim Tae Hee will be playing Maria, a young immigrant girl who loses her parents and only to live for revenge. Maria is a weapon expert who is always coming back and forth from the warring zone. And she is also a socialite as well.



The words "weapon expert" makes me excited! She'll be playing with firearms etc I hope :P

maybe 2008 bec. after airing a drama in korea that's the time Phils. TV negotiate to them, or DVD will be first available for us :D

haha if you dont mind visit to south korea around the drama just started and bought their DVD than come back to watch it than you dont have to wait so long. ;)

actually abt watching the drama earlier, it's not a problem, can watch korean dramas live (lag by 1-2 mins) via internet either by signing up at the TV stations webby, in this case SBS channel or using programs like TV ants etc or direct links (limited to first come first serve). but streaming live will be low quality video & sometimes connection wun be good and there may be buffering + it will be raw episode w/o subs). and to watch straight frm Korea, must take note of the time difference, dramas there start at 21.55 korean time.

but by next day, usually download links to the Low Quality & High Quality vids ripped frm the TV by Korean fans will be available. let's just hope there will be a fansubbing team tht is willing to sub the drama so tht we can understand the drama much earlier even before official dvd release. the chinese fansubbing teams usually sub faster than the english fansubbing teams.

you mean signup on their tv station need to pay moneys rite??? if i free i dont mind even it lag like hell. :lol:

signing up to korea tv station webby is free. watching live is free. only if you want to watch past episodes or exclusive clips then you'd be required to pay. but best to log in early cus they have server limit, if not you wun be able to connect to the live tv. but alternative is tv ants program etc which is free to download, install & use for alot of channels. lagging is fine but if it get stuck & buffer alot, tht's when it's irritating :lol: i used to watch dramas live on sbs but tht was a few mths back when i was free-er & i watched Tae Hee's brother's drama live on sbs webby. i never had much probs connecting to it, but some pple i knw had buffering probs. as for tv ants programme, it's p2p, best to connect earlier too :)

we still have more than 6 mths to try out all this before Tae Hee's drama starts hehe!

to join, go to http://login.sbs.co.kr/member/join/agree.j...loganal2=member, tick on Agree button then click 'Foreigner in overseas' but at the moment registration for Overseas pple is under maintanence and will be resumed on December 15, so join after tht date.

after you successfully join, they will take few days to process & once they approve, SBS will send you an email and i think need to validate membership etc. once all done, then each time you wanna watch programs airing currently, just need to go to http://www.sbs.co.kr/ , click On air button on the left, log in and wait for it to connect. if it takes too long, you can either keep trying again & again or switch to tv ants program haha.

install it, then you can go to http://www.tvants.com/ for the list of channels or frm the program itself. take note: not only Korean channels are available. and there are many versions of SBS channel in Korea hehe for diff areas but most shd be showing same drama at same timeslot.

you can get Korean channels like M-NET, MBC, KMTV, KBS 2 etc. or can do search for SBS. watever it is, once u've installed tvants program, frm http://www.tvants.com/ , you just need to click the yellow button on the left side of the channel you want, n tvants will start by itself and connect. or you can just get the channels frm the tvants program itself. happy trying.

erm i just checked tht 12 billion South Korean won = 12,851,268 U.S. dollar, so it's not as small as you wrote haha, it's actually 19,992,717.60 Singapore dollar, it's really huge amount to invest in our Angel!

these figures are based on current currency rate. erm so to round up, it's around US$13 million and around S$20 million.

this is an article talking abt the Korean Drama writers of 2006.

just thought i'd post it here cause there's a part talking abt the writer of 'Angel'.

this writer is also one half of the writer of Love Story In Harvard, and for next year, not only is he scheduled to write Tae Hee's 'Angel', he will also be writing Kim Rae Won's 2007 drama, 'Gourmet'. talk abt coincidence.

Choi Wan Gyoo - writer of MBC special project 'Jumong' (May 2006 ~ end of February 2007)



Writer Choi Wan Gyoo writes present age dramas and historical dramas and his dramas which are aired have become hits one after another like MBC's historical drama 'Heo Joon' which recorded the highest audience ratings of 65% in 2000, MBC's historical drama 'Sangdo (2001)', SBS's 'All In (2003)' and 'Into the Storm (2004)'.

The entertainment writer actually united history with a writer's imagination in this year's historical drama 'Jumong' which has gone up to be the most talked about work of this year. The popular writer's position was reconfirmed and it was known that he will be undertaking the writing for SBS drama 'Angel' starring Kim Tae Hee and MBC drama 'Gourmet' starring Kim Rae Won which are scheduled to be broadcasted in the first half of the next year, and also the drama 'Analyst' in which the cast has not been fixed yet.

it's being planned. on dec 13, the director went to usa to check out the locations. supposedly Tae Hee will be going to film in usa frm january 29 onwards till march 20 but tht has not been confirmed by other sources yet.

we won't know the final decision till the drama is near the airing date i guess. maybe they'll stick with the same title, maybe they wun but for now it's still 'angel'.

I hope they get Kim Rae-won as the leading man..? Does he fit the character, by the way? What do you guys think?

Rae Won may not be available for this even if they want him cause he said he wants to do a movie again and he also still has his Gourmet drama for 2007... and the kind of work he wanna do is what he excels best in... which is comical roles... esp after his depressing role in his latest movie Sunflower.... as much as i want Tae Hee to work with him again, i somehow feel tht they may try and get a top movie actor coming back to tv for this one but up till now we haven't gotten a look at what the male character is abt... so we wouldn't know.

hmm but well ok i confess i have a secret wish tht Rae Won will be offered the role of the male lead in this drama as it'd be another challenge for him.

anyway, i have read some reports tht say Tae Hee is still deciding on her next project, same goes for Rae Won.... but i do hope tht the casting for Tae Hee wun be changed cause they have been eyeing her since the very beginning. i notice tht any dramas or now, movie tht has Tae Hee in it doesn't do well ratingswise though she is definitely popular, i hope tis wun turn away producers cause all she really needs is a solid drama with a solid storyline, director and writing etc.

in korea, it's usually not a star tht makes a drama huge, but rather it's the quality of the drama tht makes the stars more known for eg now MBC's hit drama 'fantasy couple' starring Oh Ji Ho and Han Ye Seul. as such, popular faces have led to low ratings and good dramas have pulled an actor up for eg hyun bin.

syah that is also my wish that Rae Won will be Tae Hee leading man i will be more happier...

i hope they would'nt change tae hee for the casting, i totally agree with you syah tae hee just needs a solid drama with a solid storyline, director,writing and all of this things will definitely lead to success of the drama...
