Kim Tae-hee poem contest

After seeing the LYF poem contest, some members suggested one for KTH at YummyCelebrities KTH board as well. So here it is...

Rules

Rules are simple, just write a poem for Kim Tae-hee in English.

To avoid any copycats, PM me your poem... and I will put your name here to confirm your entry.

Obviously you will need to be a member at this forum to send me a PM.

Unlimited entries per person.

The contest will end on February 23rd, 2006.

Winners

Me and the other 2 moderators here (Bob The Builder and my_misyel) will decide the winner(s).

There will at least 1 winner. We might select a few more winners depending on the numbers of submission and the quality of the poems.

To be fair moderators will not take part in the contest.

Prizes

Haven't decided yet, will confirm after the weekend. It won't be something expensive, and will be KTH related. I am thinking about a KTH poster or calendar perhaps... will have to find and see.

All poems that have some decent qualities will be sent to KTH's agency either by email or snail mail. I can't promise she will receive it and read it though, that's out of my control.

Ok, prize finalised, it's going to be a VCD set for Love Story in Harvard (or USD28 cash by Paypal) for the first prize winner.

As mentioned earlier they will at least a first prize winner, and consolation prizes will be considered depending on the numbers and qualities of the contest entries.

DREAM

The sun seems to shine brighter today
The birds are happy on the trees as they play
The weight on my shoulders have all gone away
All the sadness and worries are all kept at bay

My heart skipped a beat when I saw her face
A familiar smile I’ve seen from another place
With eyes that speaks a thousand words
A woman so unique in this world

Even though my memory has betrayed me
My heart remembers the lady before me
Alas I have found a deep sense of calmness
As if I had accomplished my life long conquest

I held her hand as we went for a stroll
My knees were too weak I almost trembled
Her scent to me seems like heaven
I wished for that moment to never have end

Her angelic voice still lingers on my ear
The playful way she laughs I still see it clear
Her expressive eyes, the way they looked upon me
Inspires me to be the best that I can be

Then I heard a knock on the door
Surprised I found myself on a dimly lit floor
Then I realized I have fallen asleep
While staring on a picture of Tae Hee

They say that dreams never do come true
I know their wrong coz in this world there’s you
A smile that calms the tempest of the storm
The eyes that speaks the language of the soul

A dream so real and yet so distant
You exist in a world so alive and vibrant
An spectator, that’s what I am
To a bright star that twinkles in a night so dim

Your art gives life to different stories
You sire personas embedded to my memory
Every smile and tears are moments to be cherished
Memorized by my heart and shall never perish

Oh how I wish I could live in your world
To be with that star that I’ve always dreamed of
But then reality always has its way

My Sanctuary
A poem for KIM TAE HEE

Rarely do I see the sun in my life
Beneath my chest is a frozen heart
Each day slowly passes me by
Almost forgetting how it is to smile

Amidst the sadness surrounding my heart
And Endless darkness along my path
I found a distant inspiration
An angel it seems that made an apparition

I fell in love with her stories
So amazed as she went through her journeys
Cried with her in moments of sorrows
The laughter she shared I gladly barrowed

How I wish I could be her min woo
Who’ll always be there whenever she’s blue
And make a promise to never ever part
To always keep her here inside my heart

For her I can also be hyun woo
To conquer trials, our love we’ll see us through
She’ll always take my worries away
Whenever she tell me its gonna be ok

An angel that seems so far from reach
So close to my heart with its every beat
In this endless dark silence where I’ll always be
She’ll always be my sanctuary
